How to Add a Subuser to Your GMOD Server

If you want someone else to help manage your server, like running commands, uploading files, or checking logs, you don’t have to hand over your main account. Instead, you can add them as a subuser and give them only the permissions they need.

Nexus Hosting makes this easy. Here’s how to do it step by step.

Step 1: Log in

Log in to your Nexus Hosting Account.

Step 2: Select the Server

Once on the dashboard, find and select the intended Garry’s Mod server.

Step 3: Find the Subusers Section

In the sidebar, under Server Management, click on Users. Then click New User.

Step 4: Create a New Subuser

In the pop-up window, enter the subuser’s email address. Next, you’ll choose what permissions to give them.

If you trust them fully, you can grant all permissions by selecting the checkbox at the top. Only do this if you're very confident they should have full access. For more control, you can scroll through each permission group and check only the options you want them to have.

When you are finished setting permissions, click Invite User.

Step 5: Review and Manage Subusers

Once added, your new subuser will appear in the list with details like their email, how many permissions they have (39 means full access), and whether they’ve enabled two-factor authentication.

You can edit their permissions at any time or remove them entirely if needed. Just use the icons or options next to their name.
